Wright was four years away from the Easybeats at the time of this release. Though they had only one hit single, it was a monument to the pain and / or joy of being a working stiff. It was of course the Easybeats Epic "Friday On My Mind" (1967).
Former band mates Harry Vanda and George Young produced this debut, and it is an auspicious one. Wright is a "tough" singer and surprisingly first rate writer providing six of the nine tunes here. Production, delivery, and performances are commendable, making the record another lost classic.
Steve Wright was the lead vocalist for the Easybeats, the first major Australian group.
