Mojo Nixon is one of those characters in American Music that are difficult
to categorize. With his pal Skid Roper, on washboard and harp, he blazes a comic trail
with rants about being stuck on the freeway on the way to your job, his desire
for Martha Quinn of MTV and meeting Jesus at your local McDonalds. The standout
anthem is “Burn Down The Malls” an anti-consumerism screed touching on suburban sprawl,
shopping hell and the 21 year old drinking age limit.
So grab yourself a warm can of Schaffer beer and go along for the ride.
