After Midnight Oil first gained MTV play with "Power and the Passion" from the album "10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2.1" and before getting everyones attention with "Beds are Burning" from the album "Diesel and Dust", Midnight Oil produced a small masterpice.

The cover, with its graphic painting of the aftermath of a nuclear attack on downtown Sydney gives you some idea of what is contained within. The songs, written in 1984 cover topics like military power grabs, environmental pollution, exploitation of the native people of Austrailia, fear of nuclear war and the difference in what is sold to the masses as the truth and what the truth actually is. Midnight Oil has never compromised their message for record sales and has produced a musical snapshot of a difficult time in recent history.
