Excellent British blues band that expands the form the classic Savoy Brown, John Mayall, and the Fleetwood Mac style into some solid Chicago blues, the type popularized by Paul Butterfield and the early Climax Blues Band.
This quartet writes all it's material, and even throws a jazz tune in for good measure. There isn't a clinker on this record.
Unfortunately, this is the only Mahogany album. We would like to hear more from this very talented group. Highly recommended.
Note: VinylHistory.com prefers to review
records that have come back into print so collectors can hear
the music even if it's on CD. Mahogany {to our knowledge} is not
in print and we had no luck tracking down the original vinyl album.
Still we will continue looking for this very enjoyable record.
