Dry Dreams continues the ideas of the first album "Catholic Boy". The band has a few personnel changes including Lenny Kaye on one track but still has the same tight sound and with a fine collection of songs.

Standout tracks include "Lorraine" where Jim begins with a free form poetic introduction that morphs into a tight rocker, and "Barricades" a strong comment about getting into a war. One of Jim's final lines from that song, in 1982, was very relevant to our recent history - "I ain't gonna die for Standard Oil" Highly recommended by Vinyl History
